For starters, you shall head on over to Kizimkazi which is undoubtedly the oldest remnant of colonial settlement in East Africa, dating back to the 11th century. Perhaps an interest in history shall nudge you to the Uzi islands. No? Well then, plunge into the water and swim with the dolphins.
Next on your itinerary should be a trip to the Mkokotoni village, north of Kizimkazi. If you chance upon this place in July, be sure to bring along your best dress; there will be lots of dancing at the Mwaka Kogua celebrations.

Perhaps your interest will be piqued by events in history, and you will think about the slave trade. In the event that you do, then visit the Grave Island which bears the remains of those that lost their lives in fighting against slave trade.
And then snorkel and bathe, and watch giant tortoises at the Prison Bar, a place from which you can have some excellent views of Zanzibar. It is called so because it was originally meant as an incarceration point, but was never used as such. Take a nature walk through the rainforest of Jozani, or a walking tour down Stone Town.
