Pecans contain Beta-sitosterol-a plant steroid that may relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)/ enlarged prostrate.

Avoid nut butters with added oils and sugars because most of them contain hydrogenated oils which are high in saturated fats for easier spreading and to prevent separation.
