Original story (Here)
In 2012, college students Cook and Klein will follow Amanda and Kristin’s precedent. They will visit Hope Care Child Program in Bulanga, Uganda and bring more supplies of beds and other materials for the children.
When you hear of college students, the first thing that comes to your mind is the dizzying blur of books and parties. You imagine that the only time the college students take a break from it is when and when they need to replenish their financial life before Friday night’s party.
Well, meet Amanda and Kristin, college students from Point Lama Nazarene University. Through their initiative, they managed to raise 8000 USD in support of the 150 children of Hope Care Child Program in Bulanga, Uganda.
They did this through their trendy Love Uganda line of t-shirts. With the money raised, they were able to buy beds, mattresses, bedding, pillows and mosquito nets for the children’s home.
As our humble effort and to continue seeing more and more children get comfortable beds and be protected against malaria, we are wearing the T-shirts not only because they are trendy, but because they are for a worthy cause. We do encourage everyone who loves Uganda and wants to make a difference in these children's lives to purchase the T Shirts or Bumper stickers. You will not only look fashionable, but also help a child have a comfortable, and good night sleep.
