I must say I am very happy with the global trend of African prints in the fashion industry most especially, in the past year.
Yet, I still feel our tables are lacking in classy African decor.
Living in a few countries in East Africa, I noticed one thing while growing up; we did not care about decorating our dining rooms. It was a place we went to eat only.
Things however are changing. More and more people are decorating their dining rooms during, and after meals. But, every time I see a table decorated in African style, it is mostly an animal print cloth or our much known placemats with the drawings of animals.
Does that mean the only thing we have to decorate our tables with is some animal printed on a cloth? I think we need to start being creative in this area.
In the same trendy manner, we could incorporate various African carvings, ethnic, animal, or African prints to our tables.
Let’s get rid of those animal drawings on your placemats. It is time to get funky! Get help from Mama Masai.
Try this for next Christmas, get your décor from Mama Masai and be the talk of town.
