Not yet made up your mind on where to discover true happiness in the Kenya’s tourist sites? Not to worry because here at Chicamod we will list for you some of the best places you could visit to have that magical experience.
1. Maasai Mara National Reserve
Home to the annual wildebeest migration and wildlife. If you would want one of the most spectacular events which has been extolled all over the world, then Maasai Mara is the place for you.
2. Amboseli National Park
Last time when I was at Amboseli, I admired watching Mt. Kilimanjaro and taking pictures of it. No prize for guessing that the picture has been the theme of most post-cards. Inside the Park, I watched elephants and lions and the vast tract of land was simply beautiful.
3. Lake Nakuru National Park
Home to the flamingoes! Watching them against the background of the lake is a breath-taking experience.
4. Hell's Gate National Park
Lying to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, North West of Nairobi, the park boasts of over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck.
Apart from enjoying the ecosystem, tourists can hike, camp and rock climb.
5. Tsavo National Park
Its major attractions are the sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River.
One can also watch the Aruba Dam which is visited by thousands of animal, Mudanda Rock (which attracts thousands of elephants), Lugard Falls from which Galana River pours through.
6. Mombasa Old Town
Named UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, Mombasa Old Town has historical buildings dating from the 18th century with the influences of African, Arabic and European cultures.
The last time I visited it, there were narrow corridors between the old buildings and my trip was like a sojourn through history.
