One and all had a say in the Taste Awards, Nairobi’s first bar and restaurant awards. This year’s event took place at the Tribe Hotel on the 1st of December 2011.
Awards were graded in two groups: the prestige awards, granted by the judging panel. Some of the award categories included: MasterCard Award for the Restaurant of the year, Best New Comer of the Year, Heineken Award for Bar of the Year, and Bidco Chef of the Year.
Second grouping was the people’s choice awards with winners being selected by the public. Some of the award categories included: Best Culinary (Mediterranean, Indian, Asian, Continental / Grill, East African), Best up all night scene, Best hotel restaurant, and Best for Family experience.
The Taste awards are about recognizing, appreciating and celebrating the vibrant dining and entertainment culture in the city of Nairobi
