Mauritius is the island far South East of Zanzibar. Many are unaware that Mauritius is in fact part of the African continent and even an established member of the African Union.
Our correspondent Sasha-Lee Marivel is currently in Mauritius. She takes us to Archipel Restaurant at Prince Maurice.

Mauritius Restaurants found in hotels are usually known for intricacies that might not remind one of home. However, Archipel Restaurant at Le Prince Maurice has got to be one of the only places that serves gourmet comfort food for its clients.
Combined with that is the fine selection of warm foods, full textures, and a luxurious twist to regular meals. Savory pizza, grilled fish, and thick and tasty spaghetti carbonara are just some of the many dishes served on the lunch menu.
With its open view to the beach and pool, the atmosphere alone is enough to blow you away. The prices obviously reflect the standard of the hotel and restaurant, but I have personally seen more expensive restaurants that do not come with the luxuries that Archipel provides. The service you receive will quell your expense reservations.
Another great aspect to the Archipel restaurant is the calm environment. Noise is avoided so that guests can really enjoy their food without any annoyances.
Archipel restaurant is definitely a place you’ll want to visit when you make it to Mauritius.
