Our current young generation of Africans are eager to change the way the world views their continent. With the flux of websites and channels solely dedicated to Africa, films, documentaries and even music, Africa is being presented in all its raw glory.

I See A Diffferent You is a photo blog by a trio collective from Soweto doing their part to portray South Africa as they see it. The trio doesn’t say much else about themselves. On their FAQS page all they offer is information about their homes and their camera equipment. They live in Soweto, Pimville & Benmore, Sandton and they use a digital Canon 5D Mark ii and Canon 5D Mark iii. What else they have to say they express through their photography.

We had to dig to find more information on twins Innocent and Justice Mukheli and their friend Vuyo Mpantsha, who all grew up in Soweto. They began their photography after toying with a camera that one of them bought. It was a trip to Kenya that inspired them to photograph their hometown and present it as a personal narrative in imagery.

Now, with some success, the trio have hopes of changing the way their hometown views the world, presenting the world to their people by visiting other countries and continents and taking those stories home to Soweto.
