Looking for new ways to spend your lazy Sunday? If you are a food lover looking to excite your taste buds, be sure to check out the Cape Town Street Food Festival this 26th July 2015 at Side Street Studios in Woodstock.
The open market event will start at 9 am and feature a wide variety of local and international ready-to-eat foods and drinks through the many vendors and portable stalls. While some foods will be regional, many of the selection have spread beyond their region of origin. Finger foods and fast foods will be on menu throughout the day, with the possibility of raw food purchases as well.
A seminar for food entrepreneurs will also be held that day in the same venue. Entrance fees for this seminar is R300, and the final dinner is at R350. Only the open market is free entrance. For more information on the talks and the different speakers, please visit the official website.
This festival is a showcase for Cape Town’s local street food cuisine, a platform for street food entrepreneurs, and a way to preserve age old cultural traditions.
