Last week, stylist Micaela Erlanger hopped on a plane to Kenya with friend and Academy Award–winning actress Lupita Nyong’o.

The reason for the trip? The actress was announced as a global ambassador to WildAid, advocating on behalf of elephants and for putting a stop to the practice of poaching. Erlanger documented the beautiful moments of their trip—the wildlife, the sunrise views, the stunning African fabrics—and their shared endeavor to make the world ivory free.
While most celebrities and their stylists are often travelling to glamorous events, this trip is a nice change of pace and serves as wanderlust fuel for all those who have not visited Kenya this way before. Check out more photos below:
