The Ruzizi Tented Lodge is the only one of its kind in Rwanda.

The Ruzizi Lodge is located in Rwanda’s only protected Savannah Park, The Akagera Reserve.  The lodge was built in 2012 on the shores of Rwanda’s second largest lake, Lake Ihema.  The carefully planned lodge blends perfectly into its beautiful scenic background.  The surrounding nature, from the trees to the vegetation and the lake, has all been incorporated in the lodge’s overall look.

Ruzizi Lake Ihema

Originally, Ruzizi Tented Lodge had only 7 tents to accommodate 14 guests, but recently added a luxury tree top tent that is set 4 meters above the ground overlooking Lake Ihema.  The new tent has polished wooden floors, a double hammock on the deck, a luxurious king-sized bed, freestanding bath, double sinks and an outdoor shower.
