Art in Tanzania also accepts applications for internships. Internships typically last 2-3 months, allowing interns to develop their skills alongside local artisans. There are interior design artisan placements, jewelry making artisan placements, metal artisan placements, textile and clothing artisan placements, and many more. Tanzania has the fastest growing economy in Africa, and interns will have the rewarding experience of participating in this burgeoning economy.

Art Art

Art in Tanzania started in 2001 supporting local artists who did not have the resources to develop their talent. The organization now runs more than 300 volunteering and internship placements in Tanzania, and it receives volunteers and interns from all over the world. The fees paid by the interns and volunteers cover food, accommodation and training, and they fund Art in Tanzania’s long-term projects.

Art in Tanzania brilliantly satisfies both the visitor’s desire to help out in African communities and the locals’ need for labor, expertise and teachers. For more information on this unique opportunity, check out Art In Tanzania.
